I am Craving.

I am the hollow ache for more.

I am desire dressed in urgency.

They mistake me for simple hunger, but I am the echo of a deeper need. Ignore what I ask for, and I will lead you on an endless chase. I will convince you that the next thing - the next purchase, the next bite, the next drink, the next puff, the next fleeting pleasure - will finally make you whole. I will whisper that nothing is enough, that you must have more, now.

Hold me. Sit with the discomfort of my emptiness. I am not here to torment you. I am your guide. Listen to what I am pointing at. Beneath my surface lies the deeper longing - for comfort, connection, peace, rest, and joy. I am here to remind you of what you truly need.

The Inside Matters

Craving's skin is a deep teal - the hypnotic color of a bottomless well of desire. A single, long braid falls down the back, a seemingly endless path of wanting.

Inside rests a whole tonka bean. Its scent is complex, sweet, and delicious - the very essence of the thing you believe will soothe you. Yet tonka is also poisonous if consumed in excess - a reminder that longing can soothe or overwhelm, depending on how you hold it.

Craving is also filled with green wool - the colour of life, appetite, and growth. It is the lush promise of “more,” stitched into softness.

At the very bottom, five amethyst stones lie cool and steady. Amethyst tempers addiction, clears compulsive urges, and cools the fever of desire. It turns craving into clarity, want into wisdom.

Scent

Craving carries the scent of desire. Ylang-ylang intoxicates with sweetness and awakens the senses. Sandalwood and Patchouli bring depth and warmth, desire rooted in soil. Bergamot lifts the obsession with a spark of brightness.

And yes, Craving has a cute bum. Because it’s a bottomless pit.
