I am the guardian of your 'perfect' moment. They mistake me for laziness, but all I do is protect.

Ignore me, and I will fill your life with 'tomorrows' that never come. I will build a fortress of 'what-ifs' around your best ideas, keeping them safe but untouched, until they wither from neglect. I will lure you into endless distractions, convincing you that later is safer than now. I will build walls of avoidance and call them comfort.

Hold me. Ask me what I’m guarding. Beneath my pause lies fear - of failure, of success, of being seen. See me for what I am: a scared creature trying to prevent rejection, and imperfection. I am not here to waste your time. I am here to show you what feels too heavy to face. Listen to me, then begin anyway.

The Inside Matters

Procrastination's skin is a deep, thoughtful blue - the color of still water before a plunge. Procrastination wears two braids: one finished, the other a messy tangle of open strings, a promise of 'finish later'.

Procrastination is also filled with deep blue wool, heavy and quiet like midnight. It holds the tension of what is unfinished, but also the calm of knowing there is still time.

Inside rests a eucalyptus leaf, a symbol of clearing what is stuck. Its sharp, clean energy is here to dissolve the overwhelm and break through the stagnant energy of avoidance.

At the very bottom, five amethyst stones lie cool and steady. Amethyst is a stone for breaking patterns. It is here to quiet the anxious voice that says 'don't start,' and to help you break the addictive cycle of delay.

Scent

Procrastination carries the scent of getting unstuck. The sharp Eucalyptus clears the mental clutter. Peppermint provides a cool jolt of energy to begin.Orange lifts your spirit with brightness, turning dread into lightness, hesitation into play.

And yes, Procrastination has a cute soft bum. Because 'firming up' is on to-do list. One day.
